Palm Springs listings live or die on architecture. A Wexler steel house, an Alexander tract home and a Movie Colony estate each want a different lens and a different time of day, and a photographer who shoots them all the same way flattens the thing buyers are paying for.
I shoot the neighbourhoods the way they actually sell: clean horizontals on the mid-century rooflines, the San Jacintos placed deliberately rather than accidentally, and interiors bright enough to read without going so far that the room stops looking real.
The Palm Springs problem: hard light and harder shadows
The mountains put half the city in shade hours before the other half. A west-facing Vista Las Palmas exterior and an east-facing Indian Canyons exterior cannot be shot well on the same afternoon, so I plan the order around which side of town loses the sun first.

Do you shoot mid-century modern homes in Palm Springs?
Regularly. Alexander homes, butterfly rooflines, clerestory windows and breeze block all photograph best with the verticals held straight and the light kept flat enough to show the lines, which is how I shoot them.
How much does real estate photography cost in Palm Springs?
Pricing is by square footage: $275 up to 2,000 sq ft, $350 for 2,001 to 3,000, $450 for 3,001 to 4,000 and $550 for 4,001 to 5,000. Larger Palm Springs estates get a custom quote.
Can you shoot a twilight exterior in Palm Springs?
Yes, twilight is $190 and it is worth it here. The mountains hold colour after the sun drops, which gives a longer usable window than most markets.
Do you photograph vacation rentals as well as listings?
Yes. Short-term rental listings need the same clarity as a sale listing, plus wider coverage of sleeping arrangements and outdoor space, which I shoot as part of the same visit.
